Family escape burning Bognor house

The family escaped after a bedroom caught fire in a terraced house in Ashbee Gardens, Bognor Regis.

Two fire crews from Bognor and one crew from Chichester were called to the blaze at 2.28pm on Wednesday, May 25.

They used breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the flames.

Sussex’s British Red Cross Emergency Response also attended to assist the occupiers.

The first floor of the property was badly damaged by heat and smoke.
