Family fun at Potter's House Preschool Daddy Building Day

Potter's House Preschool held a special building day.

The Yapton preschool, residing in 1st Yapton and Ford Scout hut, welcomed family members to come along and build toys for the outdoor area with the children. Dads, granddads, and uncles attended the event.

Sally-Ann Barker, the owner and manager of Potter’s House Preschool, said: “It was a lovely day and so nice to show what a fantastic community we have.

“We are working towards becoming a Forest School so wanted as much to encourage the children to play outside as we can.

“I believe being outside has a huge impact on how well children develop and has a really positive impact on children’s early mental health.

“We organised a Daddy Building Day, where parents and grandparents and uncles and friends all came and helped build toys from pallets to develop our outdoor area.

“We have been outside all day and I’ve never seen the children so engaged and happy and playing so beautifully together.

“It was heartwarming to see the lengths people will go to for our next generation, we couldn’t be any more grateful to them all.

“This preschool is a dream come true for me and I never would have been able to imagine the kindness of our families.

“I’m so excited to be able to watch the children develop in such a stimulating environment.”
