Family production of Fantastic Mr Fox

“Boggis, Bunce, and Bean, one fat, one short, one lean, these terrible crooks, so different in looks, were nonetheless equally mean!”

The wicked threesome are the main antagonists in Roald Dahl’s popular story ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ and you can see them for yourselves in a family production delivered by Newick Youth Theatre this weekend.

Adapted by David Wood, the performance involving dedicated teenagers aged between 13 and 19 is a great way to spend an afternoon. It will take place in an outdoor venue with rain cover in the stunning location of Wowo Campsite at Wapsbourne Manor, Sheffield Park, East Sussex TN22 3QT.

This year’s director is sixteen-year-old Owen Mudford, who has been with the group for the past five years. This is his debut production as a director and he also plays the part of a farmer in a fairly hectic schedule.

Owen said: “I have had to juggle my GCSE exams and working on the show, but hopefully my work on both has paid off!”

The family production is free, but booking in advance is required. There will be performances on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 at Wowo Campsite. Bring a picnic and enjoy the show, starting at 3pm.
