Far sighted charity

TWO charities are working together to help the needy and blind and partially sighted people.

Adur Furniture Network, in Brunswick Road, Shoreham, has been given a batch of portable stereo cassette players, which it is offering to blind people or the visually impaired for a donation. The money raised will be split between the network and 4Sight (West Sussex Association for the Blind), which has an office in nearby Tarmount Lane.

Dennis Croft, of 4Sight, said: "Our appreciation goes to the Adur Furniture Network, who have kindly thought of us. This is a good example of two charities working together to benefit the people of Adur."

l The 4Sight office will be opening an extra week day from November 10. It will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm, but needs more volunteers to help man the office during the extra day.

If you can help, go to the office at 8 Tarmount Lane or phone 01273 454343.
