Fast-food jobs up for grabs

About five new jobs are being created at McDonalds in Bognor Regis.

The employment opportunities at the High Street branch for long term jobless people are the result of a pilot scheme with Jobcentreplus being extended around the country.

Candidates are given the chance of an onsite work trial at a McDonald's restaurant as part of their recruitment process.

It gives them the chance to show their personal qualities in action when these might not be apparent from their CV.

Grant Copper, the McDonalds franchisee in Bognor, said: "Our approach to recruitment is about qualities not qualifications.

"We employ people, not Cvs, and we provide a broad range of opportunities."
