The shop is located inside the Shopfest Craft Den in Hilliers Garden Centre, Brighton Road, and will be offering customers a new place to buy their knitting, crochet and sewing goods.

Vicki Hodge set up the shop and said the it will be mainly focusing on providing these three needs.

She said:“We found people coming into the Den are looking for specific arts and crafts so the Haberdashery Stash specialises in these three things

“Anything people want from these three things we will have in the shop but we will be very keen to listen to feedback and get in what people want.”

Back in February the Cloth Store closed in the town and Vicki also said Knitters Corner in Holbrook had also closed earlier this month.

She said: “It is a shame that the other shops are shut but it seems this is fate that we are opening now.

“It seems like its just the right time and it seems like this is something people are looking for.

“It has got something for everyone. If you are not into making crafts there are always things you can buy for the craft store

“This is a really unique place and is part of the charm of the Craft Den.

Vicki already has plans for the future. She continued: “We want it to be a community hub for people who love to craft.

“I have just finished a beginners knitting class but I am starting a lesson in beginners crochet soon.

“We are also going to run a stitch and natter kind of thing for people to come down here to craft and have a little natter with other people.”

The shop will be open from 10am-5pm from Monday to Saturday and 10.30am-4.30pm on Sunday’s.
