“Being a father of two myself I can understand the pain and sorrow of the effected families who have lost their loved ones who simply went out to enjoy their evening but never returned back home.

“This is an attack on our freedom, an act of mindless evil who had no respect for lives.

“These terrorists who kill people have no religion as no religion preaches or promotes the killing of innocent people.

“These incidents cannot and will not divide us – we are united behind our government and the community.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families in these difficult times.

“I urge the community to be vigilant and cooperative with the law enforcement authorities and report any incidents to your local police.”

The vigil has had full support from Crawley Borough Council.
