Feast of fun with the clergy comics in Arundel

CURRY and comedy were the vital ingredients for fund-raising success for a charity called FEAST.

Four Vicars and a Bishop was the intriguing title of a comedy night at St Nicholas’ Church, Arundel, while the curry kitchen celebrated Littlehampton company AJS Label’s third anniversary.

Both events were in aid of FEAST – For Education and Social Transformation in a poor area in the far south of India, where the £1,750 raised will be spent directly on improving people’s lives.

Braving the stage for the comedy night were St Nicholas’ vicar the Rt Rev David Farrer, the Rev Peter Taylor, former vicar of Burpham, the Rev Richard Catchpole, and retired Methodist minister the Rev Allan Hughes, from Rustington, together with Fr Jeremias George, the leader of FEAST.

Fr Jeremias, on a week-long visit, was also at the curry kitchen at AJS Labels, on the Lineside Industrial Estate, attended by its workforce and those from neighbouring businesses.
