Feathered friends on hand to welcome young visitors to Laburnum Centre

NIBBLES the southern white-faced owl made a return visit to Bognor Regis.

The four-and-a-half-year-old bird of prey was again one of the star attractions during a coffee morning at the Laburnum Centre.

He happily perched on the bodies of visitors who went along to admire the animals close up.

They were visiting to add a popular feature to a coffee morning at the centre in Lyon Street run by Age UK West Sussex.

A large number of visitors went along last Saturday for the rare chance to handle the birds.

Joining Nibbles – who is a veteran of previous visits to the centre – were barn owls, tawny owls and an Indian owl.

There was the chance for visitors to have their photographs taken with an owl to raise money for the owls.

The visit was arranged through one of the centre’s members.

It is hoped it will be repeated next year.
