Felpham youngsters enjoy a happy Chinese new year

A day of activities saw Felpham become the Far East for young school children.

The 60 four and five-year-olds in the reception classes at Downview Primary School enjoyed a day learning about China.

They marked the Chinese New Year by eating food from the continent, writing in Chinese and making Chinese fans, puppets and a dragon for a traditional dance.
