“While enjoying music from our singer, have a glass of fizz in the grand hall of the manor house.

“This will be followed by a superb four-course meal. Then enjoy the evening’s entertainment with music and dancing to Big Yellow Taxi until midnight.

“There will also be the chance to win some super prizes in our grand raffle.”

Tickets are £45, with all profits going to the fundraising appeal. Call Lynda or Sam on 01903 245078 for more information.

The charity was set up in Rife Way, Ferring, by Charles Boughton-Leigh when his twin sons, both with Downs Syndrome, were young teenagers and one of them still works at the centre.

Over the years, the centre has grown, catering each week for over 100 clients with various special needs, who work in the stables, horticultural area, cafe and small working farm.

Ambassador Sheila Hall said: “They are able to integrate with and serve the visiting public throughout the year, so receive an education in working skills for which they receive a weekly pay packet.

“There are also 8,000 disabled riders catered for each year, with only Christmas Day taken off. In fact there is a two-year waiting list as we are always looking for suitable new horses.”
