A compilation of prize winning entries from this year’s Eastbourne Book Fest has gone on sale.
New and Different features entries from winners and runners up of the festival, is published by MyVoice Publishing and was launched recently at Tome Bookshop in Terminus Road.
At the launch it was announced that festival founder Brigitte Sumner, is passing over the organisation of the Book Fest as she is moving overseas.
Brigitte said, “The book is a mixture of what has sprouted from the minds of the many talented writers that submitted their work. It wasn’t easy for our pre readers and judge Mairin Colleary, Stefani Grabowski and Elly Griffith to decide on winners and worthy of a place in this book.
“It is great to see so much passion for writing in and around Eastbourne town. It has been a pleasure to create this book.
“It is so important for writing to be a community event. We write all our lives, so why not make it a passion, a delicious pastime as well? “
“Eastbourne Book Festival will continue in the capable hands of New Eastbourne Writers as I continue to watch the progress from my new home in Asia.”
New and Different is available at the special price of £5.99 from most retailers and Tome Books.
