Fairground rides and inflatables, a boutique market selling everything from jewellery to exotic cuisine, and a host of brand new cars lined the promenade over the weekend. Car and motorcycle enthusiasts could be found in Steyne Gardens, which hosted a motorbike event on the Saturday and an American and custom car show on the Sunday.

Saturday night’s firework display at the end of the pier, ended the evening with a bang, as families watched on from the beach.

“I came back from holiday early for it, that’s how deeply I feel about it. It goes from strength to strength. It was spectacular. The weather helped tremendously and people came out.”
