WICK was transformed into a hotbed of activity at its fourth annual festival last week, which more than 1,000 people attended daily.

Events catering for all ages were literally squeezed into the full programme, including art workshops, mother and toddler groups and live music.

Drumming workshops and graffiti art sessions were laid on for teenagers and there was plenty to occupy the young at heart, too, as they enjoyed a leisurely mix of cake, bingo and cream teas.

Parents were able to enjoy quality time to themselves thanks to a broad range of children s activities each morning and women had the opportunity to be well and truly pampered in the Time for Me session on Tuesday evening, offering relaxing massage and makeover treats.

Wick Festival spokeswoman Sasha Dineen paid tribute to the hard-working volunteers who gave up their spare time to make the week extra special.
