Festive festival in Southwater

We are pleased to announce that this year Father Christmas will be in his grotto from 11.15am till 4.15pm for Southwater children to come and visit, please be aware that the grotto is normally very busy so queues are likely.

Performing on the main stage at 4pm will be Lee Hutton Sings Bublé. In 2009 Lee Hutton joined Irish band Industry who had great success in the Irish charts including two number one singles “My Baby’s Waiting” in June 2009 and “Burn” in August of the same year. In 2009, they were also a supporting act for The Pussycat Dolls at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Lee also took part in the 2011 Danish national final “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix” for the 2011 finals of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Lee is now performing up and down the Country as Lee Hutton Sings Bublé receiving fantastic reviews from every show, and we can’t wait to see him in Southwater!

On stage at 3.25pm will be five piece all acoustic boy band Concept who smoothly blend R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, Rock and Pop, mixing five well-defined vocals in to one whole, yet individual, sound.

In the last year they have supported acts such as; Example, Diversity, Lawson, Loveable Rogues, Twist and Pulse, Chris and Wes, District 3, Marcus Collins and many more.

There will also be live performances from four piece Funk, Pop band The Flip Flays, Worthing based trio The Logical Hairs performing an acoustic set, Horsham Rock Choir who have just performed at Hyde Park and local all female choir Divas Undaunted. There will also be dance performances from K.D.F Academy of Dance and Fitness, The Elsden School of Dancing Southwater and Southwater Youth Project.

Also in the main car park will be market stalls, children’s fun fair, arts and crafts, face painting, Fire engines, food and refreshments from Southwater Sports Club and Westlands BBQ, and Christmas themed fun and games.

The event will end at 5pm with the switching on of the Southwater Christmas lights with carol singing around the Christmas tree in Lintot Square by local children, accompanied by Horsham Youth Concert Band, and led by Southwater Community Methodist Church and Church of the Holy Innocents.

Residents are asked to walk to the event if possible.
