Festive fun and food hampers

Families who are helped by a Bognor Regis charity were given food hampers at a Christmas party.

The festive get-together at Home-Start Arun's base in The Hub saw 26 mums and 34 children enjoy the spirit of the season.

They were given an extra reason to be cheerful when the town's Vineyard Church members presented them with hampers packed with Christmas goodies.

The goodwill gesture continued the church's strong links with the charity and its work with families around the town.

Father Christmas also made time in his crowded schedule to turn up at the party to ensure all the youngsters could enjoy his company.

A similar occasion took place at the charity's Yapton meeting place the next day. The hampers there were supplied by Yapton Free Church members.

Home-Start Arun senior organiser Bridget Richardson said: "Everyone had a great time and all the children were excited to see Father Christmas."
