Will, who lived in Caldbec Hill, tragically took his own life in January after suffering depression, leaving behind his wife and two young sons.

Since his death, the family have been greatly supported by three charities - Winston’s Wish, The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team and Dragonflies.

Winston’s Wish is a national charity which helps bereaved children, The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team work hard to prevent suicides at Beachy Head and Dragonflies, a local bereavement charity, provided counselling to Will’s sons.

Will’s family and friends have embarked on different fund raising events in aid of these causes under the banner of ‘Out Of The Blue’.

The slogan was chosen because Will’s death was sudden and unexpected but also because the group feels these charities help to support people who are in the ‘blues’ or struggling with their grief.

The Out Of The Blue team had already raised just under £2,500 through the website CharityGiving.

Unfortunately the website was recently suspended and is under investigation by the Charity Commission.

Despite this set back, money is now being raised through the Virgin Money giving website.

Will’s wife Katie said: “We will run with pride on Sunday, remembering our beloved Will.

“Out Of The Blue is a positive legacy and is helping us to move forward with Will’s presence at the heart of everything we do. We want to show our thanks to the charities who have supported us at this tragic time in our lives.”
