Fight at Indian restaurant

Police were called to a fight at an Indian restaurant.

The fracas involved three youths and a member of staff at the Pepper Dining Indian restaurant.

The incident spilled out to the back car park which joins the Regency Close car park at about midnight where others joined in.

It was not clear how many people took part but police said there were at least 20 people around at the time.

Two people received minor injuries like cuts and bruises but did not attend hospital.

Two local youths were arrested at the scene and are currently on bail to return to Eastbourne custody centre on June 9.

Police said there was no indication that there was any racial motivation.

They are continuing with their enquiries.

Insp Richard Allum said: 'This was the sort of behaviour we are determined to stamp out by making sure those responsible are positively dealt with.'
