Fight in Bexhill leaves one man with head injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fight at a house in Bexhill.

A man was left with serious, but not life threatening injuries during the incident in Long Avenue last night (Thursday) at 7pm.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said five men were arrested

He said: "One man from the house was treated at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings for serious but non-life threatening head injuries.

"Police are investigating reports that a hammer was used in the attack.

"It is believed the incident results from a dispute between families."

Police enquiries continue and anyone who saw the incident or has any information which might assist the enquiry is asked to contact Bexhill CID via 0856 60 70 999 quoting serial 1522 of October 15.
