Lewes Junior Film Club’s season closes on Sunday with the screening of Erik or the Little Book of Insects (PG).

It’s being screened at the Linklater Pavilion, on the Lewes Railway Land, and starts at 2pm sharp.

Adding to the experience of what will be a part-outdoor event will be Michael Blencowe, from the Sussex Wildlife Trust, who will help in an insect hunt.

Erik is a 10-year-old Dutch boy studying insects for a school project.

His nature-loving grandfather shares Erik’s fascination for these small creatures and lends him an expert’s book.

Book and boy go on a great adventure when they enter a meadow painting, a bit like Alice Through the Looking Glass. There they enter the fascinating world of the insects.
