Final weeks to book Jubilee street party

THERE are just a few weeks left for residents planning a celebratory street party for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to submit their road closure applications to Horsham District Council.

With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee taking place in June, residents have until Monday May 14 to submit their applications for a temporary road closure.

Thirty nine roads are currently (as of Wednesday April 25) scheduled to close for street parties across the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

Residents are reminded that the fees for road closures have been generously waived by Horsham District Council for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee period although those planning a party are advised to take out their own public liability insurance.
