To help Wealden’s home grown businesses avoid the costly havoc that hackers can cause, the next Wealden Business Breakfast is focusing on cyber security.
There has recently been a particularly sharp rise in cyber attacks made against small businesses and 40 per cent of small businesses report having been the victim of a cyber attack, a spokesman for Wealden District Council said. Research by the Federation of Small Businesses found where there is no protection in place, a cyber attack costs an average of £4,000. Speakers at the Wealden Business Breakfast on February 3 will be providing advice on how small business can protect themselves against online threats. It will take place at the Buxted Park Hotel, Buxted. Registration is from 6.45am and the event finishes between 9am - 9.30am.
