FIND THE FOUNDERS

Families this half-term holiday can embark on a fun 'Find the Founders' themed hunt around the delightful cottage gardens of Alfriston Clergy House.

Continuing the 110th anniversary celebrations of the house being purchased by the National Trust, families can have fun finding secretly hidden pictures around the orchard and gardens. Children who successfully finish the hunt will receive a reward.

Children will be admitted free of charge over the half term from 27th May to 4th June. There will be a 1.50 charge per 'Find the Founders' hunter. Booking is not required.

The National Trust was founded by Octavia Hill, Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley and Robert Hunter in 1895. Alfriston Clergy House was the first property to be acquired by the National Trust in 1896, and is in an idyllic setting next to the village church with views across the River Cuckmere.

Admission 3.25 Adults, 1.60 Children. The Clergy House is open every day except Tuesday and Friday from 10am to 5pm. The gift shop is open as the house. Free to members of the National Trust. For further information call 01323 870001 or email [email protected].
