Fire alert at Sidley garage

FIREFIGHTERS raced to the BP service station at the junction of London Road and Wrestwood Road, Sidley, at around 10am on Tuesday this week, July 10, after pressurisation problems with a tanker making a fuel delivery. The incident commander, George O'Reilly, from Hastings fire station, said: 'It was a case of reducing the pressure and putting things back to normal, but as a precaution we sealed off the forecourt and a unit with special equipment was called in to help make the scene safe.'
