Fire at Bognor Boots was '˜false alarm'

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service have confirmed reports of a fire at the Boots store, London Road, were a '˜false alarm'.

In a statement it said: “We were called to Boots in Bognor at 22.04pm last night and sent two appliances to the scene. However, this was found to be a false alarm made with good intent as a smoke cloak had been activated.

“The incident was left with the police.”

Sussex Police have been contacted for a statement and this story will be updated accordingly.
