Fire destroys roof of Findon house

The roof of a house in Findon was completely destroyed in a fire that broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning, a spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed.

Four engines were called to the home on Rogers Lane at 1am to reports of a roof being alight, the spokesperson said.

The roof ended up being 100 per cent damaged, according to the spokesperson.

The cause of the fire is unknown, the spokesperson said, and no one was inside the house at the time.

The fire was put out by 3.09am but an inspection using thermal cameras continued for some time afterwards, the spokesperson said.
