Fire in Hastings Old Town

Firefighters tackled a blaze in the Old Town early this morning (Friday, September 9).

Two fire engines were sent to Rock-a-Nore Road just before 3.20am.

A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said the fire involved two large brick built sheds, each approximately 10 metres by five metres.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and firefighting foam to tackle the incident.
