Fire rips through Rustington home

A FIRE ripped through the roof of a Rustington home yesterday (Thursday, September 30).

Fire crews from East Preston, Littlehampton, Bognor and Shoreham, spent almost two hours dealing with the blaze, which broke out in the roof space an end-of-terrace house in Orchard Gardens, at about 11.45am.

A West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said that 75 per cent of the rood was damaged by fire, heat and smoke, and that 30 per cent of the rest of the building suffered slight water damage.
