Fire started deliberately in Rustington

Firefighters were called to Maple Walk, Rustington, on Wednesday, March 19, after trees and bushes near the cricket pitch caught light.

The blaze had been started deliberately, with firefighters arriving at the scene at 9.24pm.

Using a hose reel, the firefighters from Littlehampton station quickly put out the fire within 20 minutes.

One fire engine was called to the fire.
