Firefighters called after pole catches fire in field

Firefighters were called to a village field after an electrical pole caught fire earlier this afternoon (Tuesday June 14).

A crew from Horsham attended the incident in a field along Brighton Road in Shermanbury at around 12.50pm.

A spokesman for the fire service said the fire was out when crews arrived and no action was taken.
