Firefighters called to save man rescuing a dog in Robertsbridge river

Firefighters rushed to reports of a man needed help after trying to rescue a dog in a river in Robertsbridge this morning (Monday, May 16).

Two East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Battle and Crowborough were sent to Northbridge Street at around 9.35am.

The man was out of the River Rother before firefighters arrived.
