Firefighters free motorcyclist trapped under car in Netherfield

A motorcyclist had to be freed by firefighters after becoming stuck under a car during a crash in Netherfield this afternoon (Sunday, November 15).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service firefighters were called to the scene, on the B2096 near Netherfield Road, at midday.

They worked to free the motorcyclist, who was then taken to hospital by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The road is currently closed in both directions and motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
