Firefighters free trapped driver

FIREFIGHTERS worked with paramedics for half an hour to free a motorist.

The Nissan Almeira and two lorries were involved in a collision near the zebra crossing in Little Common Road near Bexhill Amateur Athletic Club at about 12.30pm on Tuesday.

The driver was complaining of chest pains and when paradmedics requested his medical evacuation from the car, which had front-end damage, firefighters cut the roof off the vehicle.

The motorist was taken to the Conquest Hospital at Hastings by ambulance.
