Firefighters rescue child from car in Lancing
A YOUNG child had to be rescued by firefighters from a locked car yesterday afternoon in Lancing (Tuesday, April 23).
Worthing firefighters were called to Lancing Park at around 1pm, and managed to wedge the door wide enough to rescue the child.
Firefighter Paul Gilbert said: “I think there was a bit of a mix up with keys and the young girl had been trapped inside.
“It was quite a technical operation but we managed to open the door up wide enough to get the keys out and everyone was happy families again.”
