Firefighters rescue child from Eastbourne house

Firefighters rescued a young child from an Eastbourne home last night (April 6) after they were accidentally locked inside alone.

A crew from Eastbourne fire station was called to a house on Pevensey Road at around 8.02pm.

On arrival they confirmed that a child had been accidentally locked inside. Crews used a short extension ladder to enter the house and release the child.

The child was uninjured and left in their parents’ care.
