Firefighters rescue trapped horse

Firefighters rescued a horse after it became trapped in a piece of farming equipment yesterday morning (Monday November 23).

Technical Rescue Officers were called to a field off Albourne Road, Henfield, at around 11am.

A spokesman for the fire service said the horse became trapped in field harrow, a metal piece of equipment used to break up and smooth out soil.

The animal was released by crews using small tool and was left in the care of the vet.
