Firle Place, the ancestral home of the Gage family, re-opens its doors to the public on Sunday, June 2, following a major renovation and refurbishment project over the past two years.
This unique house, originally Tudor and remodelled in the 18th century, contains a magnificent collection of Old Master paintings, exquisite furniture and beautiful porcelain.
Opening days have been increased to five per week and members of the public can visit Firle Place from Sunday to Thursday (2-4.40pm) from June through to September.
Visitors are also invited to enjoy the newly refurbished tea rooms, with terrace, for light lunches and teas, which will be open from noon-4.30pm on house opening days only.
Events are held in the Park during the year and wedding receptions can be held in the Park or the Georgian Riding School.
