'Fit chicks' step out for midnight walk

Fit Chicks from Pagham are getting ready for a midnight walk.

The members of the Rosemary Conley diet and fitness club run by instructor Clare Mcternan are limbering up for the ten-mile stroll.

They dressed in outrageous pink and purple pom-poms and glitter wigs for one of their regular exercise sessions at Pagham Village Hall.

The idea to enter the first moonlight walk, being held by St Wilfrid's Hospice on June 19, came from class member Jon Millen.

Clare, who runs ten classes, said: "Most of my 'fit chicks' enjoy attending regularly. Some even attend two or three times a week.

"This is one way that my 'fit chicks' can have fun, get fit and lose weight while helping to boost funds for the hospice."

The moonlight walk is open to ladies of any age and fitness.

It starts and finishes at the Westgate Leisure Centre and will take in moonlit paths, cobbled streets and the Roman walls.

Entry to the walk is 15 to include a T-shirt and refreshments.

Copies of the entry form can be downloaded from www.stwh.co.uk.
