Five cars involved in Hastings crash

Five cars were involved in a crash in Hastings this morning (Thursday, February 25).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hastings responded to reports of a crash outside the ambulance station on Bohemia Road at 9.55am.

A 56-year-old Bexhill woman was treated at the scene for potential leg injuries before being taken to the Conquest Hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

No one was trapped and fire crews made the area safe before leaving.

A blue Volkswagen Passat, driven by a 50-year-old man from Battle, was in a crash with a white Toyota Yaris, driven by the Bexhill woman.

Three parked cars – a red Ford Focus, a silver Peugeot 307 and a silver Toyota Celica – were also damaged in the incident.

The road was partially blocked while the scene was cleared of spilt oil and damaged cars recovered.

One SECAmb response car was immediately at the scene as it was so close to the station and was later joined by an ambulance crew.
