Five fire crews called to blaze at Shoreham farm

Firefighters were called to an agricultural fire in Shoreham this morning (March 22).

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to New Barn Road at 9.04am to reports of a fire involving a tractor, barn and a mobile house.

Crews from Shoreham, Worthing, Burgess Hill and our Technical Rescue Unit were mobilised, as well as Hove and Brighton crews from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service.

On arrival the tractor was found to be on fire but no surrounding buildings were involved. Two hose reels, two jets and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the blaze.

Crews left the scene at 10:11am.
