Five people '“ including a child '“ found in Newhaven lorry stop

Police say a group of four adults and one child were found in the back of the lorry in Newhaven Port.

The vehicle is believed to be a Slovakian lorry and was carrying a delivery of milk powder.

The stop is thought to have been made by officers taking part in Operation Trivium, a European road policing campaign which focuses on smuggling and other similar offences.
