Zach started swimming lessons at Freedom Leisure Rye Pool when he was four and a half and has attained Amateur Swim Association Levels 1/2/3.

His dad David said: “He asked if he could do the Swimathon so we checked the details and spoke with his swim teachers who think he is clearly capable of completing the 1.5km (60 x 25m) lengths.

“He has over the last few weeks been training with ASA Level 5/6/7 students and last week completed 27 x 25m lengths in 30 minutes. The week before he completed 26.

“We would like to say thank you to all the swimming teachers at Freedom Leisure, but special thanks to James Ball

Sophie Dengate who are currently teaching Zach and will help with his Swimathon Challenge.
