The displays were created by Seaford Evening Flower Club, Seaford Afternoon Flower Club, members of the church congregation and friends of the church.

On Saturday the festival was complemented by a Golden Jubilee Market with Dutch street organ, refreshments, ploughmen's lunches, raffle, tombola and a variety of stalls including cake and bric-a-brac.

Last year 2,500 was raised and it is hoped to match that total. Proceeds will go to the upkeep of both St Leonard's and St Luke's churches.

Tony Lees, who celebrated his 13th year as co-ordinator, said: 'It was another great success. Without the team effort it could not have happened everyone gave 101 per cent.'
