Deirdre Bull said: “A band of 22 ladies decorated the Church, especially the Chancel and Sanctuary where the colours used led the eye to the stained glass windows above.

“It was pleasing to see the recently formed Peasmarsh Flower Arrangers Group enjoying taking part along with other local groups.

“Pupils from Peasmarsh Primary School, and the Flying Start Pre-School also prepared floral baskets and posies and younger visitors to the event were able to enjoy colouring floral pictures and making small arrangements in pots.

“Once again bands of Morris Dancers from Surrey gave a great display on the Sunday morning and were blessed with fine weather, which stayed for the rest of the day.

“Sadly Monday was very wet but many visitors came along to enjoy the church, buy from the plant stalls and consume delicious refreshments.”
