Fond send-off for plant expert

A GREEN-FINGERED man received a fond farewell.

The committee of Newhaven in Bloom went down to Paradise Park to wave off plant manager Stuart Marsh who retires this week.

Stuart has been at the garden centre for 17 years and has helped Newhaven in Bloom for 15 years.

In Bloom Secretary Amanda Wilkins said: 'We took over as a new committee two years ago and Stuart has been a real help to us. We will miss him very much.'

Stuart will still be around at Paradise Park as he will be giving his popular gardening talks on the first Wednesday of each month and occasional weekends.

His successor will be Mark Curtis.
