The After Dinner Mints have been withdrawn by Poundland Ltd because the product contains milk which is not mentioned in the ingredients list.

This means the dark chocolates with a mint cream centre are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, according to the Food Standards Agency.

The 40g boxes are all affected where milk is not mentioned in the ingredients list.

Customers are being advised to return the chocolates to the store and if you have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it.

Poundland has now withdrawn the product from sale and contacted the relevant allergy support organisations.

Notices have also been put up in stores across the UK.
