Around 150 people donned Santa suits or seagull masks for the event, which was raising money for Albion in the Community (AITC), the club’s official charity.

Supporters young and old completed the 2k route, which included a lap of the Albion’s home stadium, and the AITC’s Seagulls Santa Dash raised £1,200.

That money will now help fund the charity’s award-winning disability football programme and other work throughout Sussex.

Emma Brockhurst, AITC’s fundraising events executive, said: “The event went brilliantly and to have almost 150 people come along and take part was fantastic.

“Events like this help pay for our disability football sessions and mean we can give more and more people who have a disability the opportunity to play the sport they love.

“Thank you to everyone who came along. Your support makes a genuine difference and really is appreciated.”
