Fans travelling to see Brighton and Hove Albion and drivers travelling on the A27 near Falmer are warned to expect delays tonight (Tuesday November 27).
Emergency repairs to barriers on the eastbound A27 just west of the University of Sussex are taking place after a collision yesterday afternoon and are expected to continue until 8am tomorrow (Wednesday).
There were massive queues in both directions at rush hour this morning going back as far as Hangleton to the west and the Southerham roundabout in Lewes to the east with one lane closed both ways.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Brighton and Hove Albion are playing at home against Bristol City at the American Express Community stadium from 7.45pm tonight.
“The emergency repairs are likely to cause delays to traffic in the area and we would suggest to fans travelling to the game from the west of the county to allow extra time for their journey so they don’t miss any of the action.”
