An under-14s memorial football match is being staged at Kingston Village Green on Sunday, May 4.

It’s in tribute to former Lewes Priory School student Dylan Alkins who was tragically swept out to sea to his death during the storms of six months ago.

He played for the village team. His friends and team-mates will on Sunday be taking on their counterparts from Bridgeview in Lewes. Most of the young players involved are Priory students.

Before the match kicks-off a tree will be planted in memory of 14-year-old Dylan at 2.30pm.

The youngster disappeared after getting caught in rough seas at Newhaven.
