Fort reopens

NEWHAVEN Fort has opened its doors for the new 2002 season.

NEWHAVEN Fort has opened its doors for the new 2002 season.

The award-winning tourist attraction is now open every weekend, and daily from March 23, 10.30am-5pm.

Its first event will be a special Easter Quiz Trail, from Good Friday to Easter Monday, where there will be a prize draw each day for the correct answers to the Easter Bunnies' questions.

Resurfacing and landscaping work on the main visitor car park is now under way, and will provide new and improved signage and paths, as well as a new viewpoint overlooking the Castle Hill nature reserve. A temporary parking area is available at the top of Fort Rise by the Fort entrance bridge. For further information call 01273 517622.
